The weather is changing and I'm feeling more creative. I decided to make a DIY notebook for Scripture Journaling. I have a crap load of miscellaneous notebooks but I wanted this one special :) So I took a piece of the Reset Girl 12x12 scrapbook paper from The Simple Stories Collection. I bought the pad of paper here. I cut it to 8.75 x 11.25 (quarter inch bigger than standard copy paper) Then I grabbed about 10-sheets of bright copy paper 24lb. I googled "Scriptures for Anxiety" (I plan on doing a book with other focuses too like, Scriptures for Faith) when I found a list I liked I cut and pasted the text into a document. (Set up your document landscape. Paste half the list on the left side then print. Paste the other half of list on the right side then print on a 2nd sheet.) Stack your papers so that the Scriptures are side by side in the front of your book I stapled the middle of my book and added some embellishments to the front. I added die-cuts and watercolor (use a light hand with the water colors because your paper will wrinkle, but I personally like that look) I joined Illustrated Faith, they have GORGEOUS journaling kits, videos and ideas. There I found this download for FREE!! (as of the date of this post, it's still available - click picture for link) It's relaxing since there are no rules as to what "works".
It's just my time reading, writing The Word and doing it in a way I enjoy. There is no denying that God is creative. All you have to do is look around and see that God has created something that is so beautiful, so amazing, and so creative to know that God is creative. As “image-bearers” of God we too possess in all of us the ability to be creative. That creativity can look different from person to person. xo xo xo Victoria
