Based upon Louisa May Alcott’s 1868 novel of the same name. This version stars Sarah Davenport, Allie Jennings, Lucas Grabeel, Ian Bohen, and Lea Thompson.
For 150 years, Little Women has motivated women of all ages to dream together and celebrate family. This modern retelling of LITTLE WOMEN brings a new generation.

The March sisters; Meg, Jo, Beth and Amy are committed to always supporting each other. Yet, growing up sometimes means growing apart. An aspiring writer, Jo leaves for New York determined to publish a novel. In the wake of rejected draft upon draft, her editor challenges Jo to write about something more interesting-her family. When tragedy brings the sisters back home, sticking together takes on new meaning. As Jo comforts her sick sister, Beth asks for one thing: a story. Jo knows the perfect one ... by heart.
I watched the movie on my IPad cuddled up in bed with a cup of coffee & my dogs. I’ve never read the book or watched any other film or TV adaptations of Little Women but knew it was popular and looked forward to a couple of hours of entertainment to see what the fuss was all about.

I was impressed by the scenery and sets (Hello! Can we all dream of that attic!! Xo xo xo)
The actors playing the girls were well-casted and believable as sisters and Lucas Grabeel plays a yummy Laurie.
This where my fondness for the film ends.  Sarah Davenport as Jo (I couldn’t stand her character! – so hot headed and impulsive), there are a couple of under-age drinking scenes that could have been left out as they had no consequences or relevance to the story line.

The movie felt made-for-TV and not big screen. I was not drawn-in to the story line or the characters.
This is a film you’d want to rent or wait for it to come Netflix. I wouldn’t spend the money watching it in theaters.
I was sent a digital copy of this film for review. All opinions are mine and not a reflection of Pinnacle Peak or level3digital.com

The actual story is nothing like what you watched. It sounds like they butchered the heck out of a solid classic!
