I have this cabinet near my kitchen. I keep all my big appliances in it, like my rice cooker, instant pot, waffle maker, etc. One day I was staring at the cabinet and decided it needed something on the side of it, cause if there is an empty shelf, wall or corner in my house, I'm going to fill the space :) Drives my husband crazy, but I love it! He's a minimalist and I'm all for coziness. But he says, "do whatever you want..it always looks nice" So first I hung a painting there and it didn't feel right, so i started looking for a vintage spice rack. I started thinking of the fun things I could put in there!! Then I found this on Amazon: Next I found these little dishes at Dollar Tree: I wanted to add some spice jars and tins, so while I'll be vintage-tin hunting I also decided to make some of my own. I went to Hobby Lobby and bought these little glass jars with cork stoppers. They were 50% off that week, so they cost $1 each. Then I searched FREE VINTAGE LABELS and found THESE that I could print as is or add to them. I printed them on paper and used my Xyron Create-A-Sticker to make them actual labels. We had a casualty - VANILLA didn't make it. He actually bounced twice before he shattered everywhere. But hey, that just means another trip back to Hobby Lobby :) Here is how it looks so far: I do plan on filling her up with real old spice tins.... maybe keep the glass to a minimum...lol
