PAUL, APOSTLE OF CHRIST stars Jim Caviezel, who played Jesus in Mel Gibson’s game-changing film The Passion of the Christ. From the first time I watched the trailer for Paul, I felt moved, impassioned by Luke's determination to reach Paul. It's going to be an exciting and revealing movie. We read the Scriptures but to see what "it looked like" is always enriching. I am very excited to see more good faith-based films doing well at the box office. Did you ever see Risen? The story of a roman soldier's view of Christ's crucifixion and his conversion? SO GOOD!! Paul, Apostle of Christ is by the same film-makers. **OK- Here we go!! Luke, as a friend and physician, risks his life when he ventures into the city of Rome to visit Paul, who is held captive in Nero’s darkest, bleakest prison cell. But Nero is determined to rid Rome of Christians, and does not flinch from executing them in the grisliest ways possible. Before Paul’s death sentence can be enacted, Luke resolves to write another book, one that details the beginnings of “The Way” and the birth of what will come to be known as the church. Bound in chains, Paul’s struggle is internal. He has survived so much—floggings, shipwreck, starvation, stoning, hunger and thirst, cold and exposure—yet as he waits for his appointment with death, he is haunted by the shadows of his past misdeeds. Alone in the dark, he wonders if he has been forgotten . . . and if he has the strength to finish well. Two men struggle against a determined emperor and the frailties of the human spirit in order to live out the Gospel of Jesus Christ and spread their message to the world.

I love faith based movies. The trailer tells me struggles exist and it is easy not believe or listen to others and that one person's words or actions may change your life. I'm going to cook a easter dinner for my family, my parents, my brothers and their families. My neighbor usually stops by as well.

Can’t wait to see the truth of the Bible on the big screen. Paul and his definition of LOVE and how he followed Christ is what I’m excited to see.

There is beauty, love & realness in christian movies. More should be made in hopes that the people who don't really follow the bible maybe drawn in by the movie. Hopefully it will create a curiosity to want to know more. My Easter morning will be at church. And this year it lands on my baby sisters birthday. So we will celebrate getting older together.

For Easter my family will be celebrating Jesus with the rest of the family over at my parent's house. I was really drawn to the part in the preview where they said there is a terrible evil in this world - I know there was in Biblical times, but that statement is as fresh to me now in 2018!

Easter morning is always spent at Sunday School and worship followed by brunch at our favorite downtown restaurant. The afternoon is spent on our boat. Now that our children are at college and we have moved to another state, I am looking forward to making another tradition for this season.

Our plans for Easter are to spend the day with our daughter, son in law and grandson and grill out hopefully if the weather is warm at the park in the country. And I'd Love To See This #PAULMOVIEL3 with my husband. He's battled a rough few years with his health and it's only through faith and God's grace that we are blessed with days together in our old age. Movies like This reassure my love for God and that he can heal in all ways through his spoken words of promise. Thank You for the chance to enjoy see this faith and inspirational movie.
