It's CHRISTMAS in July!! It's 114 degrees out in Las Vegas and while we are all still dealing with the pandemic, I'm making myself useful by starting on Christmas projects. Don't come for me, it's too hot in Vegas to do anything else except dream of cooler weather :) I started with books I picked up at The Dollar Tree. Just pick something with a spine of at least 1 inch. I picked 2 of the same books and the 3rd one was different (the middle one - you can tell because if the texture on it). Now, you rip off the front and back covers and the spine, leaving the insides exposed. If your book as a colored front page, you'll remove that too. I used the font Tox Typewriter from Dafont. I linked it HERE I saved this project in Cricut's Design Space. Click HERE to access it. Now you just adhere the letters to the spines for the books! I did have to use mod podge over the letters on the middle book because the letters didn't want to stick very well to the fuzzy spine. I've seen this done with rubber stamps, but I didn't have any big enough,
that's why I used my Cricut on this project. Can you imagine a stack with all the family members names on them? Or for Fall; you could put FALL, FOOTBALL, FAMILY ...or whatever and set a cute little pumpkin on it. For Christmas you can tie candy canes to the twine or a Christmas Sprig. Buffalo Check ribbon could be cute for more of a Farmhouse look. If you decide to make one yourself, tag me in social media so i can see! #victoriathatcher
