CONGRATULATIONS TO AMBER DUNN.
THIS GIVEAWAY IS NOW CLOSED. Valentine’s Day for Haters: My ex was the worst! I hated V day cause everyone else (so it seemed in my envious eyes) was getting gifts, balloons, chocolates, flowers and stuffed animals while I got nothing. But one Valentine's Day, I realized that the Savior of the world loves ME more than any human ever could. Why wasn’t He my true Valentine? My focus changed!! I know "technically" St. Valentine's Day is suppose to be for lovers, but you know what? I flipped the script. My Valentine’s Day was going to be about My 1st Love, Jesus and my children. I wrote a love letter to Jesus in my journal. I bought myself chocolate and spoiled myself. I bought my son and daughter stuffed animals, candy and decorated their school lockers. and although I didn’t receive tokens of affection from a lover, I received so much more in the memories my children hold of those special times when mom came to their school. I received love and a stronger relationship that developed with the Lover of My Soul, My Abba Father. Psalm 136:26 - Give thanks to the God of heaven, for his steadfast love endures forever. John 15:9-17 As the Father has loved me, so have I loved you. Abide in my love. My Valentine to you....

My husband has shown me the true meaning of unconditional love. My family's love growing up came with so many strings and stipulations. My husband loves me no matter what I do and doesn't do things for me to get something in return. It's the best gift I could have ever asked for.

When I was young and single, I had a wonderful boyfriend who surprised me on Valentine's Day with not just a beautiful flower, but many little wrapped gifts that he left on my doorstep. The cost was not important, the thoughtfulness was priceless. I still remember that was by far my best Valentine's Day ever. Sadly, he died a year later from leukemia at only 28 years old.

A co worker of mine lost a grand child about 3 weeks after he was born. During those weeks she was traveling back and forth to another state a lot. She's a single mother so funds were tight. We collected for her here at work, but my husband knows her friendship is important to me so he did a collection at his place of employment and so many people donated to her, that we were able to give her almost a thousand dollars to help with gas and food. that to me is love, especially when they didn't know the person they were giving to but trusted my husband enough to know it was needed, and his love for me helping out a true friend.

My favorite valentine memory is the year that both my sister and I had just separated from our significant others so we decided to be each other’s valentine. I hid little presents for her all over at her work and at home and even in her car. One for each hour of the day. A new little trinket to open each hour all day long. It was so fun seeing her count down the minutes til the next hour just to see what was next. We both had the most fun.

When I was diagnosed with cancer my second opinion doctor that I saw, gave me a big hug and a kiss on the cheek and promised me that since I chose to live he would be right there with me. And he was. Later we had moved away and subsequently found a tumor in my brain After finishing Whole brain radiation they wanted to do an MRI of my head, and for some reason I panicked called him in Utah sobbing because I knew he would need it when I went back to him(we were in the process of moving back) and told me not to worry because he loved me and he would get it done there. This man is my friend (and his family and I love him to pieces and I worship the ground he walks on. There has been no kinder Dr or action from anyone better than him.

My favorite Valentine's Day was 10 years ago, when my husband and I received the notices that our children's adoption was finalized. We adopted 2 beautiful girls through foster card. They are blessing from God.

My mom, when I was younger, always handmade our valentines. She would make heart shaped boxes and fill them with candy. It’s a tradition that I would like to start with my children.

My best Valentine's was when I was working in Korea. Over winter break I had traveled to Australia with a group of friends. We ended up meeting some Koreans. About a month later on Valentine's Day, I received some flowers. They were from one of the Koreans that we had met in Australia. He had returned to Korea and contacted one of my friends to find out where I worked. We have now been married for 11 years.

Every Valentines has been amazing and I am blessed enough to be touched by love daily. I have married the most amazing man who has shown me love, joy, compassion and best of all fun for the last 18 years. I truly believe the best of relationships are based on love and laughter and there isn't a day that doesn't go by that my Husband shows me that. I am so thankful that he was raised by the most amazing Grandmother and Grandfather who chose to take him and love him and instill their faith and kindness in him and in return, him instilling it into our own 3 boys.

Thank you for this lovely story. I was heading to hell in a hand-basket with my past life until I had my encounter with Jesus Christ - the Savior of the World. For God so loved the word [all His creation] that HE gave His one and Only Son - that whoever BELIEVES in HIM will not perish but have ETERNAL Life - there is a Heaven to gain for eternity or a Hell to shun - God places before us Life or Death- we get to choose - He asks us to choose Life -Jesus came to give us Life and to give us Life abundantly... I am so blessed and thankful that I was called out of darkness into His Marvelous Light at a time in my life when I was lost - living a sinful life - a sheep going to the slaughter - The Bible said, There will be troubles in this World - but God said to me "I am the Lord Your God who takes you by the Right Hand and I say to you - Do Not Be Afraid, I will Help You." I am so blessed to have the COMFORTER, the Holy Spirit [my HELPER] guiding me in life each day - and HE does just that if I will Listen, Read, Study and Do [put into action] His Word - Jesus said, "You shall know the Truth, and the TRUTH will set you Free." I am so blessed to be a Royal Priesthood in the kingdom of God and have a personal relationship with Jesus... gathering in a building where other Christian who accepted Jesus as Lord and Savior [or come to visit to hear the Word of God] to gather to encourage one another as we see THE DAY approaching ... Praise Jesus for His death on the Cross - He paid a ransom for many. Praise Jesus that He died for me and up from the Grave He arose - He is the only LIVING Savior who will save us from our sins. Each day is a blessing, and I am blessed with a Spirit-Filled Christian Husband who loves me like Christ loves the church - and together, we walk in Faith, not by sight, to teach others the Good News about Jesus Christ -Life is Good - God is Good all of the time! Thank you for offering lovely planner stickers - you are a blessing to many Victoria.

My husband and I got married on 02/02/02 in a candlelight ceremony in our living room. Unfortunately, the day before the wedding I came down with the flu. I pushed on with an abundance of cold meds, had the best day ever, and minutes after the last guest left I passed out for 2 days straight! We were flat broke after the wedding and with me missing a whole week of work because of the flu meant that we were off to an extra rocky start. When Valentine's Day came around, I knew we didn't have any money to celebrate, yet when I woke up the next morning he had taken a Toaster Strudel and wrote Happy V Day on it with the icing! We decided then that we didn't need to celebrate Valentine's day, instead we'd celebrate each other every day. It's been 17 years this month and we still don't celebrate Valentine's day.

I try to check your website daily because I love it. When I first saw the Valentine giveaway then I just passed it over. I've been married almost 21 years and we have six children together. My husband has never been one to care about Valentine's day or birthdays or holidays. I did not have a memorable or romantic valentine's day to post about. It seems like it has been even worse over the last year and a half. I decided to give my life back to the Lord and it put such a division between us. He decided to give his life to alcohol. I have found myself doing a lot of praying and crying lately. Some hurtful things were said to me yesterday morning and every thing seemed so bad. Divorce or separation was mentioned again. Then he came home from work last night and surprised me with an early Valentine's gift. He has never bought me a valentine's gift without me pretty much insisting and definitely has never surprised me. It was a handmade wooden infinity sign that also had you and me carved in it. I just cried and hugged him and told him, "Thank you" and "I love you". Just when it seems there was no hope, God began to shine a ray of light. I will never forget this Valentine's Day.
