Why I want a Romans kinda life

I worked in a Christian church & school for over 17 years. I LOVED what I did and the people I worked with. Surrounded by Godly educators has been an unmeasurable blessing in my life. I did all the artwork for a hit CD and the graphics for 2 books. I traveled with 21 other brothers and sisters as the first mission group allowed into Poland to share the Gospel of Jesus Christ in the public schools, I served on the Creative Team and worked on set designs for our church. Although my life was full and rich, it was not without heartbreak. I lost a baby in 1999 and divorced in 2008. But God is good and without the people I surrounded myself I would've lost it.  I met and married Bryan in 2010 and then in  2014, after 17 years at my job, I followed God's prompting to go work with my husband in his business, a cabinet manufacturing co. We traveled a lot and work was taking off at an incredible speed. I prayed about it for over a year and knew that this is the move I needed to make.

Working in a cabinet company did not allow for such creativity as working in the church/school. Besides decorating my office and designing a new logo and brochures I was out of creative outlets!
 About a year ago, I decided to start making planner printables for myself. I enjoyed the process and creativity that came with it. I thought my work was decent and decided to post one of my printables in a facebook group. I commented, "If you like this, email me and I'll send it to you". The next morning I had 25 email requests! The next day even more!!  I quickly realized there had to be a better way!
I  started uploading my printables to Dropbox and would share the link on FB.
Dropbox kept locking my account up saying I was creating too much traffic. Geez! Isn't that a good thing? That's when I started my blog with Weebly and I immediately called them asking for suggestions. They recommended  Google Drive, telling me that Google loves traffic...lol  and that brings us to today.

I started getting some hate. (I still do) I love when people think I need to read EVERY thing written about me and DM me screen-shots. Who would think there was drama in stickers?? STICKERS!! But there is :(

But mostly people are incredibly awesome. I love when you tag me in your FB and IG layouts or take the time to send me an email. Like this one from a sweet lady who gave me permission to share her letter to me :

This reminds me of why I do what I do. Even when my husband tells me I should charge for my work. God has blessed me (and many other designers) with a gift that I chose to share for free.  (Donations have helped with renewing my blog fees).
So we'll see how long this journey goes because everything in life is temporary - good and bad. But for now I'm having fun, "And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose".
