I'm 5'10 and my husband is 6'4, I always said when we build our home I want all the counter 3 inches taller. If you're tall and spend any time in the kitchen, you're always slightly bent over and your low back starts hurting - - at least mine. Argh!
One day, while watching Sam, The Cooking Guy on YouTube give a tour of his kitchen,
he talked about a raised cutting board! I stopped the video and googled it (I'll save the search, it's over $400!) So i started poking around for cheaper alternatives and saw a few I liked and figured I'd make my own!

Here's Sam's tour video, which I highly recommend. I love all his videos :)

Grabbed this cutting board from Target.
These legs and plates from Lowe's.

Drilled the holes in the four corners, attached the plates and tried the legs out.

Painted the legs with acrylic paint and stuck them in a to-go box to dry :)

After the legs dried, I realized I better attach gripper feetsies << That's what I call them,
you don't want to be all sous-cheffing and your board goes flying out from under you.
So I picked these Scotch Gripping Pads up on Amazon.
I got the 1.5" ones and they fit perfectly!

I love how it turned out and you can even use it in a charcuterie display!

I finally decided to make a spice drawer! While Marie Kondo-ing my kitchen I was actually able to completely empty one drawer. So I took the opportunity to create a spice drawer.

I found this set on Amazon and loved that it had the sifters, funnel and labels

The jars were the perfect size and since it came with so many, if I had a larger jar of something I was able to use 2 jars.

Even though it came with blank labels and a marker, I decided to make my own for a few that weren't covered in the over 600 labels they give you!!

Here are the inserts I created for my new A5 planner. I bought pre-punched A5 paper on Amazon, which I LOVE!! it's cream color and nice thick paper. >> GET IT HERE<<

Printing on A5 paper is simply easier on some printers than others. On my HP inkjet I could not get it to work to save my life, but then I tried it on my canon black inkjet and it worked like a charm. I loaded the A5 paper and printed all the odd dates first. Then I flipped the stack of printed papers and printed the even dates on the back. This will take some practice to see which way you need to load your paper in your printer. 
I have in the past printed on letter-sized paper and cut and hole punched myself, but honestly, once you get the hang of printing on A5 paper, it's so much easier and cleaner AND ALL YOUR HOLES LINE UP....lol
